Celebrating the Visionaries: Malaysia’s Top Real Estate Stars Honoured at NREA 2026

A Night of Legacy and Excellence in Petaling Jaya

The Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents (MIEA) hosted the 18th National Real Estate Awards (NREA) 2026 at One World Hotel, gathering the nation's top property agents under the theme Legacy of Excellence. Graced by Deputy Minister of Finance YB Liew Chin Tong, the event paid tribute to the visionaries and leaders who continue to elevate the estate agency profession, highlighting its crucial role in driving Malaysia’s broader real estate sector.

Record-Breaking Submissions and RM78 Million in Fees

This year marked a massive milestone for the industry, drawing 117 submissions across 23 categories. The spotlight shone bright on the MIEA Million Dollar Achievers (MMDA) category, which saw an overwhelming surge in participation. Despite MIEA introducing two separate tiers this year, the MMDA submissions collectively represented approximately RM78 million in professional fees—nearly doubling the RM43.9 million recorded in 2025. Out of the qualifiers, 34 recipients achieved fees between RM1 million and RM2.999 million, while seven elite agents surpassed the RM3 million mark.

Uncompromising Standards and Unwavering Integrity

MIEA President Kelvin Yip noted that the record figures reflect a profession deeply committed to growth while remaining grounded in trust, integrity, and ethics. MIEA Vice President Ethan Leong emphasised that maintaining prestige requires extreme diligence; every entry underwent a meticulous five-month evaluation involving audits, independent judging, and rigorous deliberation. This uncompromising process ensures that every trophy awarded genuinely sets a benchmark for professional practice.

Honouring the Best of the Best in Real Estate

The evening reached its peak with the presentation of the prestigious Real Estate Agent of the Year Award, recognizing an outstanding individual who stands as a true role model for peers, firms, and the association alike.
