A Seafood Celebration in the Heart of PJ
Get ready, foodies! The Square @ Jaya One is transforming into a seafood haven on July 11 and 12 for Malaysia’s Oyster Table, hosted by Oyster Bois. Running from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, this vibrant two-day showcase is all about celebrating homegrown Malaysian oysters, sustainable aquaculture, and the passionate farmers driving the local sea-to-table movement. Admission is completely free, making it the perfect weekend hangout for curious first-timers and hardcore seafood lovers alike.
Battle of the Flavors: Merbok vs. Muar
Ever tried an oyster grown right here in Malaysia? This event gives you the ultimate opportunity to taste and compare the country's finest. You can snag Merbok oysters for RM9 each and Muar oysters for RM10 each to see how their flavor profiles stack up against each other. If you get there early, you might even score an exclusive Buy 2 Free 1 Oyster Voucher, which is up for grabs for the first 150 visitors!

Master the Art of Shucking
It’s not just about eating; it’s about getting your hands dirty! The festival is hosting a FREE Oyster Shucking Workshop where you will learn how to safely crack open these fresh delicacies. Once open, you can experiment with different flavor combinations—go classic with lemon, try them aburi-style (torched), kick it up a notch with chili garlic oil, or pair them with fresh latok (sea grapes) for a truly tropical, local twist.

Beyond the Shell: Tacos, Treats, and Local Eats
If oysters aren't your only craving, the marketplace has curated an incredible lineup of local food vendors to keep you fueled. You can bite into CrabLab's Soft Shell Crab Tacos (RM15) topped with mango habanero salsa, or stock up on Adam Boy’s Malaysian-inspired chili garlic oil (ranging from RM16 to RM20). For those with a sweet tooth, vendors like Butter N’ Bloom will be serving up fresh cinnamon rolls and cakes, while UH-REN will keep things refreshing with freshly squeezed limau madu juice.
Support the Local Aquaculture Scene
At its core, Malaysia’s Oyster Table is about putting a spotlight on our local marine ecosystem, from seaweed farming to aquaponics. It’s an educational and highly flavorful experience designed to support local aquaculture. And if you can't get enough of the vibe, you can even check out Oyster Bois’ door-to-door oyster service to bring a premium, fresh shucking experience straight to your next private home gathering.
