The 15th Annual Art of Speed Malaysia (AOS 2026) returned with a bang over the August 1–2 weekend, transforming the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park, Serdang (MAEPS) into a massive hub for automotive enthusiasts. Expanding into a full-scale Summer Festival, this year's installment brought together thousands of visitors from across the globe to celebrate custom cars, legendary bikes, international builders, and underground lifestyle culture. From rare vintage Harley-Davidsons to custom builds flown in from Japan, Thailand, and Taiwan, the energy was unmatched.

Global Legends and Custom Champions

AOS 2026 welcomed heavyweights from the global scene, including Liberty Walk’s Wataru Kato, MOONEYES Japan, and Hot Wheels Lead Product Designer Ronald Wong. Taking home top honors in the Invitational Bike Build-Off, builder Mujo Joros swept both the Overall Jury Winner and Public Choice Winner titles with an insane GPX Gentleman 200, walking away with RM20,000 in cash prizes. Meanwhile, Shaun Jonathan Pinto’s jaw-dropping 1957 356 Speedster Replica clinched the coveted Best of Show Automobile award, earning a ticket to the 34th Annual MOONEYES Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show in Japan.

Beyond the horsepower, the SoundCircus Festival (SCF) 2026 rocked six stages across MAEPS with explosive performances by legendary acts like Ella x Cokelat, Nadin Amizah, Sheila Majid, Hujan celebrating their 20th anniversary, and a wild 30th-anniversary set for Asian Hardcore. Pushing the festival limits even further, AOS introduced Asia’s first Flying Fox zipline directly over a live concert crowd at the Pentas 16 Stage. Meanwhile, subculture hubs like Kulture Kartel kept the vibes alive with streetwear drops, B-Boy battles, and rap competitions.

Exclusive Collectibles and Big Wins

Diecast collectors turned Hall C into a haven during the 4th Official Hot Wheels Collectors Convention Malaysia, which featured the launch of the exclusive HWCCM 2026 Nissan Skyline GT-R V·Spec II (BNR34). Festivalgoers also participated in the Kembara Passport adventure, competing for over RM80,000 in prizes. Lucky winner Arsh Rafayed rode home on a custom Thunder Motorcycles 250, while Amirul Fitri took the grand prize—a heavily modified Honda HR-V MK1 Japan Edition.

Connecting automotive passion with regional travel, Tourism Selangor officially launched the Tourscape @ Selangor initiative alongside Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari. The project introduces Road Trip Fun Maps designed to guide motoring enthusiasts through the culture, food, and scenic drives across all 12 districts of Selangor. As Festival Director Asep Ahmad Iskandar noted, AOS continues to elevate Malaysia as Southeast Asia's premier capital for Kustom Kulture, uniting global icons and local talent under one roof.
