KL Skyline Shines Bright: LSH Capital Sets Malaysia Book of Records Lion Dance at KL Tower

Roaring into the Record Books at 292 Metres High

Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations just reached a whole new level—literally. Lim Seong Hai Capital Berhad (LSH Capital) took cultural traditions to unprecedented heights on Saturday, September 26, 2026, hosting its Mid-Autumn Carnival at Kuala Lumpur Tower’s newly launched Sky Garden. Perched 292 metres above ground, the event was crowned by a historic milestone as LSH Capital and KL Tower officially entered the Malaysia Book of Records for the "Highest Altitude Lion Dance Performance in a Skyscraper."

Lanterns, Legends, and Panoramic Views

Themed "Light Up the Night, Enjoy the Full Moon Above KL," the evening brought together media members and special guests for a glowing lantern walkabout across the Sky Garden. Against the breathtaking backdrop of the Kuala Lumpur skyline, attendees carried their lanterns high, honoring timeless festive customs while experiencing one of Malaysia's most iconic landmarks from a fresh, elevated perspective.

Honoring Tradition, Elevating Heritage

More than just a spectacular visual display, the record-breaking lion dance served as a tribute to discipline, teamwork, and cultural preservation. Tan Sri Datuk Seri Lim Keng Cheng, Chairman of LSH Capital, noted that celebrating reunion through such a high-flying spectacle was a unique way to share the festive spirit with the broader community, while reaffirming the Group's dedication to supporting multicultural heritage and social connection.

A Grand Milestone for Visit Malaysia 2026

The festive carnival arrives during a momentous year for Kuala Lumpur Tower as it celebrates its 30th anniversary. Managed by LSH Service Master Sdn. Bhd., the landmark is actively expanding its experience-driven programming in support of Visit Malaysia 2026. Chief Executive Officer Mr. Khairil Faizal Hj. Othman highlighted that initiatives like the Sky Garden carnival aim to transform how tourists and locals interact with the tower, turning iconic views into unforgettable, record-breaking moments.
