
KL Wellness City (KLWC), Southeast Asia’s pioneering wellness and healthcare master township, ushered in the Year of the Snake with a vibrant Chinese New Year (CNY) festive media launch. The event celebrated cultural traditions, unity, and community engagement while spotlighting exciting progress on the Kuala Lumpur International Hospital (KLIH) project.
A Festive Celebration of Unity and Culture
The CNY celebration commenced with an auspicious lion dance performance, symbolizing prosperity and good fortune for the year ahead. Guests were warmly welcomed by Dato’ Dr. Colin Lee, Managing Director of KL Wellness City, who shared:

Progress on Kuala Lumpur International Hospital (KLIH)
KLWC provided exciting updates on its cornerstone project, the Kuala Lumpur International Hospital (KLIH), with 40% of construction completed and an anticipated grand opening in Q3 2026.
To meet growing healthcare demands, KLWC announced the expansion of operating theatre (OT) rooms from 22 to 25, reaffirming its commitment to delivering world-class medical care for both local and international patients.

Government Support for Malaysia’s Healthcare Tourism
The event was graced by YB Puan Teresa Kok Suh Sim, Member of Parliament for Seputeh, who emphasized Malaysia’s growing reputation as a global wellness and medical tourism hub.
“KL Wellness City’s dedication to integrating world-class healthcare facilities with community living aligns with our vision to establish Malaysia as a leading destination for wellness and medical tourism. Their progress inspires confidence in Malaysia’s potential,” she said.
AirAsia Complimentary Air Ticket Campaign Extended
KLWC announced the extension of its popular AirAsia Complimentary Air Ticket Campaign by an additional three months, in response to overwhelming demand. Since its launch on 10 October 2024, purchasers of units at The Nobel Healthcare Park have been entitled to complimentary AirAsia flight e-vouchers worth RM15,000.
