Enhancing Malaysia’s Modern Logistics Infrastructure

On Monday, April 13, 2026, PTT Synergy Group Berhad ("PTT") officially commenced development on PTT Logistics Hub 2 at Elmina Business Park. This latest expansion is designed to bolster Malaysia’s supply chain capabilities through the implementation of efficient, modern, and reliable warehousing infrastructure. The groundbreaking ceremony was officiated by Yang Berhormat Tuan Sim Tze Tzin, Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), marking a significant step in the nation’s journey toward becoming a regional logistics hub.

A Proven Success Model

The development of PTT Logistics Hub 2 (Hub 2) follows the success of PTT Logistics Hub 1 (Hub 1), which reached full occupancy shortly after its completion.

  • Proven Timeline: Hub 1 was completed within just 13 months.

  • High Demand: Hub 1 has been fully occupied by Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) tenants since it began operations in July 2025.

  • Market Validation: The strong take-up of the first hub underscores a growing demand for high-quality, ready-to-operate logistics facilities.

Purpose-Built for the FMCG Sector

Hub 2 is specifically engineered to meet the needs of FMCG supply chains, with a particular focus on bulky consumer products and home appliances.

  • Warehouse Capacity: The facility features approximately 289,000 square feet of warehouse space.

  • Storage Volume: It is designed to hold a capacity of 51,000 pallets.

  • Operational Accuracy: The hub will integrate advanced intralogistics and automation technologies to improve inventory control and throughput.

  • Completion Target: Development is targeted for completion in the second half of 2027.

Competitive Necessity in a Dynamic Market

During the ceremony, YB Tuan Sim Tze Tzin highlighted that high-tech logistics infrastructure is no longer an option but a competitive necessity for Malaysia. By providing infrastructure that is "operationally ready from day one," PTT enables businesses to compete more effectively in global markets. Mr. Dan Then Ikh Choo, Group CEO of PTT, also noted that Hub 2 aligns with increasing ESG expectations by integrating energy-efficient systems and sustainability-driven designs into its core architecture.

A Collaborative Effort for National Growth

The successful launch of Hub 2 was made possible through strong partnerships and collaboration. PTT expressed appreciation to Bank Rakyat for providing the necessary project financing and to SekataRakyat for their continued support in realizing this development. As the Group continues to expand its next-generation infrastructure, it remains committed to reducing environmental impact while delivering the industrial solutions needed to support Malaysia’s long-term industrial growth.
