Where Heritage Meets High Fashion: ARLINA AYOU Opens Doors at The Curve!

A Royal Showcase of Timeless Malaysian Artistry
Malaysian fashion label ARLINA AYOU has officially opened its brand-new boutique at The Curve, bringing a fresh, modern perspective to traditional textile craftsmanship. The launch event featured a runway show, live music by Tiga Soul, and an esteemed appearance by Royal Guest of Honour Yang Amat Mulia Hajah Sharifah Khatreena Nuraniah binti Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail. Organised by Bravo Events and Entertainment, the afternoon celebrated local heritage through hand-drawn batik canting, hand-blocked batik cap, songket, tenun, and intricate beadwork.
Elevating Heritage Craft for the Modern Wardrobe
For Creative Director and Founder Arlina Amdan, the new boutique represents nearly three decades of dedication to preserving Malaysia’s rich textile legacy. Rather than viewing traditional fabrics as static relics reserved only for formal occasions, the brand seamlessly integrates time-honoured techniques into contemporary silhouettes. Working directly with master artisans across the East Coast, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, and East Malaysia, Arlina transforms raw heritage craft into refined, versatile fashion tailored for both everyday wear and grand celebrations.

More Than Retail: A Personalised Studio Experience
Located on Level LG1 of The Curve, the boutique offers a welcoming sanctuary where shoppers can fully immerse themselves in the brand's creative universe. The location houses ARLINA AYOU’s Premium Ready-to-Wear, Atelier, Couture, and Bridal lines. Beyond browsing off-the-rack pieces, clients can book private styling sessions, made-to-measure fittings, and bespoke design consultations. To highlight the extraordinary skill involved, select couture and bridal creations require over 500 hours of detailed handwork to complete.
Carrying Malaysian Craftsmanship onto the Global Stage
ARLINA AYOU’s artistic vision extends well beyond local shores, having showcased Malaysian songket and batik on international runways in Abu Dhabi, London, Jakarta, and the Netherlands. As an active committee member of the Malaysian Official Designers Association (MODA), Arlina continues to champion local talent while aligning with the cultural goals of Visit Malaysia 2026. The new boutique stands as a testament to sustainable craftsmanship, offering fashion lovers a meaningful link between rich cultural history and modern elegance.
