A Record-Breaking International Debut!
The Southeast Asian Healthcare & Pharma Show (SEACare) is making headlines this year with unprecedented regional and international participation. For the first time in its 24-year history, companies from Iran and Latvia are joining the expo, showcasing its expanding global influence. The exhibitor booth spaces for SEACare 2024 were fully booked within six months of registration opening, with approximately 100 companies confirming their participation.
Dynamic Overhaul Boosts Expo Appeal
Richard Teo, Executive Chairman of Qube Integrated (M) Sdn Bhd (Qube), highlighted the exceptional interest in the long-running annual trade show, which is undergoing a transformative makeover to establish it as the region’s premier healthcare expo. Qube, which took over the organization of SEACare from ABC Exhibitions Malaysia last year, has played a crucial role in revitalizing the event. Teo, who founded Qube in 2003, has led the company to become one of Malaysia’s leading event organizers.
Innovative Partnerships Drive Success!
In January, Qube initiated strategic partnerships with key trade and healthcare organizations, including the Malaysian External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and the Malaysian Pharmacists Society (MPS). These collaborations have introduced innovative programs designed to enhance the expo's appeal and effectiveness. Notably, the business matching program led by MATRADE has already attracted international buyers with a potential sales value of nearly RM 30 million on the first day.
Prestigious Accreditations and Insights!
The conference segment of the expo boasts triple accreditation by the MPS, the Malaysian Medical Association (MMA), and the Malaysian Dental Council (MDC). This accreditation enables registered Malaysian healthcare specialists to earn Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points by attending the knowledge-sharing sessions. Malaysia’s Minister of Health, YB Datuk Seri Dr. Haji Dzulkefly bin Ahmad, emphasized the critical role of international cooperation in healthcare during his officiating remarks at SEACare’s opening ceremony.
Exciting Prospects for 2025!
SEACare 2024 features a diverse array of companies from various healthcare sectors, including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, consumer health, clean room, and facility management systems. Since its inception, SEACare has attracted thousands of exhibitors from around the globe, including the United Kingdom, Denmark, China, and Japan. Looking ahead, SEACare 2025 is scheduled to take place from 21st to 23rd April at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, and the expo is now open for space booking.
