SHE Award 2025: Celebrating Her Power, Building Futures in Pink October

What a night! The ShangHai Honourable Women Entrepreneur Business Award (SHE) 2025 took over the Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur for a dazzling gala dedicated to "Her Power." This event, organized by ShangHai Business Media, was a stunning celebration of the resilience, courage, and sheer brilliance of the women shaping Malaysia’s business and social landscape.

But the night was about more than just accolades! Aligning with Pink October, the SHE Award partnered with the National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM) to advocate for early detection, care, and empowerment, truly living up to the theme of "Supporting Women, Building Futures."

A Night of Pink Power and Inspiration

The ballroom was bathed in elegant pink hues, symbolizing hope and strength. Following the massive success of previous years, the $2025$ edition once again honored women who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and impact across every industry imaginable.

The event was graced by YB Teresa Kok, MP for Seputeh, as Guest of Honour, alongside a powerhouse list of dignitaries, including Datin Dr. Cherlin Cheah (CEO of ShangHai Media) and Dato’ Dr. Saunthari Somasundaram (President of NCSM).

The opening addresses set the tone for empowerment. Datin Dr. Cherlin Cheah praised the irreplaceable role of women, noting they "bring a unique combination of wisdom, innovation, and leadership." Meanwhile, YB Teresa Kok delivered a rallying cry, emphasizing that "when women rise together, their collective strength becomes a powerful force that can truly change the world." We couldn't agree more!

Beyond Business: Pink October and Compassion

This year, the SHE Award focused intensely on the social mission of Pink October. The night was highlighted by a special charity initiative focusing on breast cancer awareness and support.

• Wig Donation: A powerful "Wig Donation Campaign" was launched to raise funds, helping survivors regain their confidence and beauty through solidarity.

• Confidence on the Runway: A stylish fashion segment by Panache Tailoring Sdn. Bhd. showcased tailored suits, a visual tribute to women's confidence and empowerment in the workplace.

The emotional core of the evening was Dato’ Dr. Saunthari Somasundaram’s address, where she emphasized the crucial need for empathy and continuous support for breast cancer patients navigating recovery.

Honouring 66 Exceptional Leaders

After a rigorous, transparent judging process audited by Baker Tilly Malaysia, a total of 66 women entrepreneurs took home well-deserved awards. These women, like Tengku Norhanim binti Tengku Othman (NIMS Adeliciousz), Catherine Goh (Santan Food Services), and Nicole Lim (Empire Sushi), truly represent the strength of women leaders both locally and across borders.

Special honorary recognitions were also presented to truly influential figures:

• Women of Political Excellence Award: YB Teresa Kok, for her enduring advocacy for justice and equality.

• International Distinguished Women Influence Award: Puan Sri Nisa Bakri (NISA Holdings), for her visionary leadership and global reach.

• Visionary Woman in Public Health Leadership Award: Dato’ Dr. Saunthari Somasundaram, recognizing her remarkable contributions to advancing public health.

• Leading Lady CEO Excellence Award: Datuk Nuraslina binti Zainal Abidin (THETA Edge Berhad), for her exemplary achievements in corporate innovation.
