
The Thailand-Malaysia Industrial Products Business Matching event, taking place from 10 to 12 February 2025 at Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur, is set to generate an impressive 120 million Baht in trade value.
Organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), under Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce, this high-impact event focuses on key sectors including machinery, automotive, electronics, medical supplies, and building materials.
Strengthening Bilateral Trade Relations
Leading the Thai delegation is Umes Pandey, Thailand’s trade representative, joined by Minister Counsellor (Commercial) and DITP Malaysia Director, Worawan Wanwil. Their mission aligns with Thailand’s goal—set by Prime Minister Paethongtarn Shinawatra—to achieve US$30 billion in bilateral trade with Malaysia by 2027.
“This business matching event is a crucial platform for Thai and Malaysian businesses to explore potential partnerships and exchange valuable knowledge in key industrial sectors,” said Worawan Wanwil.“By facilitating high-level discussions and aligning business goals with governmental strategies, we are creating new opportunities that will significantly boost Thailand’s exports to Malaysia.”
