A Turning Point for Malaysia’s Automotive Industry
On April 29, 2026, the Deputy Minister of Economy, YB Dato’ Indera Mohd Shahar bin Abdullah, officiated the launch of Jacar, a new network aimed at setting a national standard for transparency in the car care sector. The launch took place at Jacar’s flagship outlet in Bandar Utama, targeting an industry often characterized by unclear pricing and a lack of verified products.
Ending "Hidden Steps" with Digital Accountability
Jacar was developed to address common frustrations among car owners regarding the lack of visibility into workshop services. Through its mobile app on iOS and Android, the platform offers several key features to ensure consumer trust:
Live Visibility: Customers can monitor their vehicle being worked on via live CCTV.
Verified Selections: Users can choose services from verified global brands directly.
Digital Records: Every service is documented with a full digital record, including a traceable warranty.
Fixed Pricing: The platform provides upfront, fixed pricing to eliminate hidden costs or "surprises" on the final bill.

Partnerships with Global Automotive Leaders
Jacar operates as a verified platform for four globally recognized brands, ensuring that customers receive genuine products at competitive prices by bypassing distributors and agents. These partners include:
LLumar (USA): Specialists in car window tinting and paint protection film.
KeePer (Japan): Known for precision ceramic coating systems.
GS27 (France): Advanced car detailing specialists.
Pecca Leather: A leading Malaysian name in automotive upholstery.
Every service within the network is performed by technicians certified directly by these brands to maintain a high standard of quality.
Contributing to Malaysia’s Ekonomi MADANI
Beyond consumer services, Jacar is introducing a formal certification program for automotive care professionals. This initiative aims to create structured career paths in a sector that has historically lacked them, directly supporting the nation’s Ekonomi MADANI goals for skilled job creation.
National Expansion and Government Backing
With current outlets in Bandar Utama and Bandar Sunway, Jacar has plans to expand across the Klang Valley in Q3 2026. The network has a long-term target of 100 connected outlets throughout Malaysia. The initiative is supported by key government bodies, including MARii, MIROS, and MITI, signaling a broad institutional commitment to industry reform through quality-verified and accountable services.
