Celebrating Empowered Beauty at Miss CosmoWorld Malaysia 2024
The much-anticipated Miss CosmoWorld Malaysia 2024 crowned its champions in a stunning grand finale at JW Marriott Kuala Lumpur. Founded by celebrity Carrie Lee Sze Kei and organized by CL Skin Sdn. Bhd, Miss CosmoWorld Malaysia is now in its 8th edition, distinguishing itself as a platform that celebrates beauty, intelligence, talent, and empowerment.
This year, the pageant took a modern approach to empower young Malaysian women, focusing on cultural pride and skill-building while championing vegetarianism and community impact.
Distinguished Guests Honor Malaysia’s Brightest Talents
The event was attended by Y.M Tengku Dato’ Dr. Hishammuddin Zaizi Bin Y.A.M Tengku Bendahara Azman Shah Alhaj of the Selangor Royal Household, alongside notable personalities such as Erra Fazira, Nur Ruhainies Fazerah, Carmen Soo, and past Miss CosmoWorld queens. The diverse gathering highlighted the importance of fostering young Malaysian talent on a global scale.
“Miss CosmoWorld promotes young Malaysian women as talented and capable, unafraid to face the future’s challenges,” remarked Y.M Tengku Dato’ Dr. Hishammuddin, underscoring the pageant’s role in representing Malaysia’s diversity and potential.

Miss CosmoWorld Malaysia 2024 challenges traditional pageant norms, encouraging contestants to showcase their skills and life experiences. This year’s participants engaged in empowerment training, with sessions in fitness, public speaking, and personal branding. Promoting Sustainability and Vegetarianism
A new highlight this year was the theme, "A Day to Save the Earth, A Day to Save Life," which emphasized sustainability and vegetarianism. Carrie Lee, the founder, sees this initiative as a way to advocate for environmental consciousness within Malaysia’s beauty industry.
“With this year’s theme, we hope to inspire contestants and attendees alike to take actionable steps towards a sustainable and healthy lifestyle,” Lee shared, marking a significant shift towards purpose-driven pageantry.
Cultural Heritage and the Roman Theme
Under the theme of "Roman," the pageant celebrated Malaysia’s rich cultural diversity through a symbolic nod to history, reminding everyone that “our actions today shape a better future.” Datin Sri Jekkie, representing MeLife Global (M) Sdn Bhd, expressed pride in sponsoring the event, adding, “Let’s be role models in the beauty industry by promoting natural beauty and a commitment to positive change.”
