Perodua Partners with PETRONAS Dagangan and Gentari to Enhance Customer Experience


In a groundbreaking move to elevate the customer experience, Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd has recently inked two significant Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad and Gentari Sdn Bhd. This collaboration aims to integrate a range of services that will bring more convenience, sustainability, and innovation to Perodua’s retail offerings.

A New Era of Convenience with PETRONAS Dagangan

The first MoU, signed between Perodua Sales and several key subsidiaries of PETRONAS Dagangan, namely PETRONAS Lubricants Marketing Sdn Bhd (PLMMSB), Mesra Retail & Cafe Sdn Bhd (MESRA), and Setel Ventures Sdn Bhd (Setel), is set to revolutionize the way Perodua customers interact with their vehicles.

Key Highlights of the MoU:

  1. Seamless Digital Payment Integration – Setel’s digital payment feature will be integrated into Perodua’s UFirst app, allowing customers to enjoy a smooth, contactless transaction experience at service centers.

  2. New Service Centers at PETRONAS Stations – Perodua service centers will be established at select PETRONAS stations, offering customers easy access to essential services while fueling up.

  3. Convenience at MESRA – MESRA, PETRONAS’ convenience store and cafe chain, will enhance the customer experience by providing added convenience at these new service locations.

For over two decades, PLMMSB has been the sole provider of lubricants for Perodua vehicles, and this partnership will continue to grow, further cementing the bond between the two brands. As the world shifts towards greener mobility solutions, this collaboration is also geared towards sustainability, aligning both companies’ commitment to a more environmentally-friendly future.

EV Transition Support with Gentari

The second MoU, signed between Perodua Sales and Gentari Green Mobility Sdn Bhd (a subsidiary of Gentari), focuses on enhancing the transition to electric vehicles (EVs). As Perodua gears up to launch its first electric vehicle by 2025, Gentari will play a crucial role by installing EV charging stations at existing Perodua service centers.

Key Initiatives in the EV Collaboration:

  1. EV Charging Facilities – Gentari will set up fast DC charging points at Perodua service centers and PETRONAS stations to ensure easy access for future Perodua EV owners.

  2. Seamless Charging Integration – Customers will benefit from Gentari Go, a platform that will offer access to EV charging subscriptions and home charging solutions, making it easier to charge their Perodua EVs both on the go and at home.

With over 1,000 PETRONAS stations and Perodua’s 194 sales and 209 service centers nationwide, the combined network will ensure that customers have a vast infrastructure to rely on for all their service and fueling needs. With 175 DC charging points already operational, Gentari operates Malaysia’s largest licensed DC charging network, setting the stage for a robust EV ecosystem.

This collaboration marks a significant step forward in enhancing customer convenience, driving the adoption of green mobility, and ensuring that Perodua remains at the forefront of automotive innovation in Malaysia.
