The FIFA World Cup Trophy Returns to Malaysia
Malaysia marked a historic sporting moment as the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola arrived in Kuala Lumpur, making the country the first stop in ASEAN for the global tour ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026™. The visit also marked the original FIFA World Cup Trophy’s first return to Malaysia in 12 years, reaffirming the nation’s deep-rooted passion for football and its place among only 30 FIFA Member Associations selected worldwide for the tour.
The arrival of football’s most coveted prize brought fans closer to the ultimate symbol of global sporting excellence, offering a rare opportunity to witness the original trophy up close—an object synonymous with dreams, legacy, and sporting greatness.

A Ceremonial Arrival Fit for Football Royalty
The trophy’s arrival was marked by a prestigious handling and arrival ceremony at Subang Skypark, where the original FIFA World Cup™ Trophy was officially welcomed before continuing its journey to Sunway Pyramid. The carefully choreographed ceremony underscored the trophy’s global significance and Malaysia’s pride in hosting this iconic symbol of football history.
For Malaysian fans, the moment was more than ceremonial—it was emotional. The return of the trophy served as a reminder of football’s ability to unite generations, cultures, and communities through a shared love for the beautiful game.

Bringing Fans Closer to Football’s Greatest Symbol
At Sunway Pyramid, the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour transformed the venue into a football celebration hub. Fans were invited to view the original trophy, participate in interactive football activities, and immerse themselves in experiences designed to celebrate the spirit of the game. From 5v5 matches and football clinics to live performances and merchandise giveaways, the programme ensured that the trophy was not just displayed, but truly experienced.
The centrepiece, however, remained the trophy itself—an enduring emblem of excellence that represents the pinnacle of achievement for footballers worldwide.
Celebrating Malaysia’s Football Culture
Adding a distinctly local touch to the occasion was the launch of Rasa-Rasa Bola, a Coca-Cola Malaysia football anthem by popular local artist Tomok. The anthem captured the emotion, pride, and collective energy of Malaysian football culture, serving as the soundtrack to the country’s World Cup Trophy Tour stop.
The event also highlighted Coca-Cola’s long-standing partnership with Malaysian football through its collaboration with the Malaysian Football League, reinforcing its commitment to supporting football at both professional and grassroots levels nationwide.

A Trophy Tour with Purpose
Beyond celebration, the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola also carried a message of responsibility. Sustainability initiatives, including recycling and packaging collection efforts, were integrated into the event, reflecting Coca-Cola’s broader commitment to environmental stewardship—both globally and within Malaysian stadiums.
As the exclusive partner of the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour, Coca-Cola continues its decades-long relationship with FIFA, giving fans around the world rare access to the original trophy ahead of FIFA World Cup 2026™.
