It's World Post Day, and our national post and parcel service provider, Pos Malaysia Berhad, is showing the world exactly how they are evolving for the digital age! Under the banner “#PostForPeople: Local Services, Global Reach,” the celebrations at Pusat Mel Nasional weren't just about stamps; they were about transformation and the official launch of a massive new international brand!

The event, officiated by YB Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, Minister of Communications, was a dual celebration marking the debut of Redly—Pos Malaysia's new international logistics arm—and the unveiling of a special World Post Day 2025 stamp collection.

A Transformation That’s Delivering Results!

Pos Malaysia isn't waiting for the digital tide to turn; they are riding it! Since the start of their transformation journey in August 2021, the focus on strengthening core services and improving the customer experience has paid off big time:

  • Speed Boost: Next-day parcel delivery performance has skyrocketed from 50% to over 90%, crushing the industry average of 82%. Talk about fast!

  • Reliable Mail: Mail delivery performance now exceeds 93% on-time delivery.

  • Customer Love: The impact of these reforms is clear—customer satisfaction (NPS) for retail services jumped from 32.0 to 97.0, and delivery services went from 56.7 to 76.9!

  • Air Support: Pos Malaysia remains the only logistics provider operating two dedicated aircraft, ensuring the fastest transit times to Sabah and Sarawak.

Welcome Redly: From Anywhere to Everywhere!

The biggest reveal of the day was the official launch of Redly! This new, unified international identity consolidates all of Pos Malaysia's international postal and courier offerings under one strong, clear brand.

With the promise, ‘From anywhere to everywhere’, Redly is strategically positioning Pos Malaysia to grab a bigger piece of the rapidly growing global e-commerce and cross-border logistics market. It’s their new face for the world!

Leading the Charge for a Greener Future

Pos Malaysia is putting its sustainability commitment into action! They are now running Malaysia’s largest electric vehicle (EV) logistics fleet, featuring over 1,250 e-bikes and 264 e-vans, which have already covered 10.8 million kilometres emission-free!

Plus, 17 facilities across the country are now solar-powered, contributing nearly 7.5% of the company's total energy mix and preventing over 2,900 tonnes of carbon emissions annually. Talk about a clean delivery!

Tackling Challenges with Innovation

It's not all smooth sailing. Pos Malaysia is bravely facing structural challenges, including a 79% decline in traditional mail volume since 2012 and intense competition in the parcel market (over 100 licensed operators!).

To adapt, the company is testing exciting new business models (Proof of Concepts, or POCs) in Q4 2025:

  • Integrated Network: Merging mail and parcel networks into a single, efficient delivery system.

  • Mail Delivery Adjustments: Testing alternate day mail delivery in Sungai Siput, Perak, to align with lower mail volumes and cut costs.

  • Retail Network: Testing a retail agent network model, replacing 8 post offices with 13 agent-run PUDO (Pick Up/Drop Off) points to expand customer reach and reduce costs.

Pos Malaysia’s commitment to service remains strong, as Chairman Tan Sri Syed Faisal Albar noted, their mission is always "to serve the rakyat while remaining an integral part of the global postal network."
