With over 3,500 participants, the event marked an exciting milestone for Pos Malaysia Berhad, reinforcing its commitment to community building, healthy living, and sustainability.
A Historic Moment for Pos Malaysia
“Last Sunday was truly a historic event for Pos Malaysia,” said Fiona Liao, Group Chief Marketing, Communications, and Sustainability Officer. “After months of planning, our first-ever run came alive in spectacular fashion. It was incredible to see participants flood the streets of Kuala Lumpur, living up to the spirit of our theme, ‘Jom Laju for Fun!’.”
Participants tackled three categories:
Fun Run (6.2km)
10km
15km
The event catered to runners of all fitness levels, offering a festive atmosphere filled with music, food trucks, games, lucky draws, and more, making it a memorable day for everyone.
Sustainability at the Heart of the Run
Pos Malaysia made sustainability a cornerstone of the event, setting new benchmarks for eco-friendly practices. Key green initiatives included:
Electric bikes and EON’s Smart 1 electric car for operational support and lead vehicles.
Race packs delivered to participants’ homes in eco-friendly packaging, using Pos Malaysia’s electric vehicles—a move that was well-received by runners.
Running tees made from 100% recycled materials and medals crafted from recycled plastic zip ties and metal.
PP5 recyclable cups used at water stations—the first of its kind in Malaysia.
“Not only does this run celebrate Pos Malaysia’s heritage, but it also reinforces our dedication to community and environmental responsibility,” Liao added.
A Day of Fun, Fitness, and Friendly Competition
The day started with an energizing warm-up session to set the tone, followed by runners enthusiastically taking to the streets of KL city center. Participants enjoyed an array of activities, including live entertainment and various food and beverage offerings, fostering camaraderie among attendees.
